Tampere Pulse is an AI-powered predictive analytics service developed by the City of Tampere, Finland, to forecast visitor flows in the urban centre. By leveraging anonymised IoT and machine vision data, it predicts foot traffic up to one month in advance, enabling authorities and businesses to enact smarter decision-making, operational planning, resource allocation, and public services through human-centric, trustworthy AI.
Public Sector AI Community of Practice
New Zealand’s Public Sector AI Community of Practice is an active professional network of digital government practitioners meeting monthly online for wide knowledge sharing, learning and connection. Online meetings regularly bring together up to 200 practitioners from a wide range of government organisations to share knowledge on a range of AI-related topics and relevant information.
OTT2 : Dynamic Data-Driven Personalisation of Employment Services and Counsellor Decision Support
OTT2 is an AI-powered decision support system that helps Estonia’s Unemployment Insurance Fund prevent long-term unemployment. It combines data from public registries to assess each jobseeker’s employment prospects in real time, enabling counsellors to identify those at highest risk and focus support where it is most needed. With above 98% forecast accuracy, it eliminates laborious and error-prone manual work and it enables a policy pilot to dedicate counselling resource to high-risk customers.
Virtual assistant in mObywatel
The virtual assistant in mObywatel is an AI chatbot, powered by a Polish LLM (PLLuM), available through a national digital citizen app. It was created in order to make information about public services more available to citizens. It is meant to combat digital exclusion and provide a safe and verified alternative to general purpose chatbots in the official context.
National Data Infrastructure (NDI)
The National Data Infrastructure (NDI) constitutes a set of norms, policies, architectures, standards, technological tools, and information assets, aimed at promoting the strategic use of data held by the bodies and entities of the Brazilian Federal Executive Branch. The IND enables data discovery, interoperability, access, strategic use, privacy, security, and protection. The objective is to improve public service, empower citizens, and promote economic and social development.
MEB Smart Legislation Assistant (AI-powered Legal Assistant)
The MEB Smart Legislation Assistant is an AI-powered tool that helps Ministry staff quickly access and understand official legislation. It allows users to ask questions in plain language and receive structured answers supported by official legal sources. The system reduces time spent searching complex legal texts and improves accuracy in administrative decision-making.
TiNAI (Tamil Nadu Land Use Information System) (Subnational: Tamil Nadu State)
TiNAI (Tamil Nadu Land Use Information System) is an AI-enabled geospatial and Digital Twin platform designed to support evidence-based land-use planning. It uses artificial intelligence to analyse multi-sector data and generate clear insights that help policymakers understand climate, urban, and environmental challenges. The platform was created to address fragmented data and improve coordinated, transparent decision-making across sectors.
AI STRATEGIC WORKFORCE PLANNING
The Ministry of the Interior is developing a digital workforce planning tool that supports decision-making based on big data and predictive technologies. The tool analyses demographic trends, retirements, skills and operational needs to produce 5–10 year staffing scenarios. It helps policymakers anticipate future needs, identify skill gaps, compare hiring and reskilling options, and better align staff with organisational goals.
PresidencIA: Generative AI Adoption Programme for the Spanish Prime Minister’s Office
Leveraging on 3 pillars (Community, Applications and Infrastructure), PresidencIA builds AI literacy among staff through workshops, community and best practices, develops custom AI tools for processes in the PM’s Office, and pursues on-premises AI infrastructure for tech sovereignty. It also works to position Spain as a partner for leading AI labs on safety and alignment. The programme addresses the gap between AI’s potential and practical government capacity.
AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure 3.0 (ABCI 3.0)
ABCI 3.0 is Japan's national AI computing infrastructure that provides access to supercomputing resources for developing sovereign AI capabilities. Operated by AIST and funded through Japan's METI, it delivers 6.2 exaflops of computing power using 6,128 NVIDIA H200 GPUs. The infrastructure supports industry, academia, and government in developing large language models and advancing generative AI research, with priority given to national research institutes, universities, and startups.
PALOMA: Artificial Intelligence for Early Detection of Unwanted Loneliness in Older Adults (Subnational: Madrid)
PALOMA is an artificial intelligence system that makes phone calls to people over 75 who live alone to detect situations of unwanted loneliness. It conducts short conversations with a natural sounding voice, identifies risk signals, and offers information or municipal follow up. The project helps reach more people, detect needs earlier, and connect them quickly with social support.
Messina Urban Digital Twin (GDU) – AI-enabled Urban Intelligence Platform (Subnational: Municipality of Messina)
The Messina Urban Digital Twin (GDU) is an AI-enabled platform that integrates data from IoT sensors, administrative sources and urban systems to support decision-making and scenario simulation. It transforms fragmented urban data into a dynamic and interactive model of the city. The initiative aims to improve planning, resource management and public services through data-driven insights.
Agent MIA (Argentine State's Artificial Intelligence Assistant)
MIA is integrated into the national government's chatbot (TINA). It was conceived as a support agent for citizen services management based on information security, administrative transparency, and human oversight principles. It offers personalized responses according to each user's needs and context. It is based on LLAMA 4 (Meta) for speed, low operating cost, and open-source nature. Currently in its initial phase with two use cases: SMEs and Mi Argentina (citizens' platform).
IPS Córdoba Assistant — AI Policy Analysis Agent for Social Progress Governance (Subnational: Province of Córdoba)
The IPS Córdoba Agent is an AI-powered policy tool integrated into the Social Progress Index dashboard for Córdoba’s 427 localities. It analyses quality-of-life data across 12 components and 57 indicators, combining social metrics, trends, and policy literature. More than a chatbot, it provides contextualised analysis and actionable recommendations so mayors and local officials can turn data into informed public policy, targeted investment, and evidence-based decisions.
Guideline for Japanese Government’s Procurements and Utilizations of Generative AI for the sake of Evolution and Innovation of Public Administration
"Japan's GenAI Procurement & Utilization Guideline" was formulated in 2025 to establish rules for the procurement and use of generative AI across national government. It creates an AI governance framework requiring each ministry to appoint a Chief AI Officer (CAIO), conduct risk assessments to each generative AI systems, and implement procurement based on specific check sheets. The guideline aims to accelerate adoption of generative AI in government while managing its risks.
