If your organisation develops advanced AI systems, you can help establish the standard for responsible AI governance.
The G7 Hiroshima AI Process Reporting Framework, launched in February during the AI Action Summit, provides an accessible, standardised tool for organisations to document and share their AI risk management practices.
This initiative is a direct result of the G7 Hiroshima AI Process, which began under Japan’s G7 Presidency in 2023 and was further developed under Italy’s G7 Presidency in 2024.
It builds upon the Hiroshima AI Process International Code of Conduct for Organisations Developing Advanced AI Systems, a significant milestone in international efforts to enhance the governance of advanced AI systems.
Why participate?
By participating, your organisation will:
✅ Contribute to global transparency and accountability efforts for advanced AI systems.
✅ Share how you manage risk assessments, incident reporting, and AI governance.
✅ Learn from peers and follow the international best practices outlined in the Hiroshima AI Process International Code of Conduct.
A collaborative global effort
Governments, industry, academia, and civil society collaborated to create the Reporting Framework, demonstrating a collective commitment to AI systems that are developed and deployed in safe, secure, and trustworthy manners.
Prominent organisations such as Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, NEC Corporation, NTT, OpenAI, and Salesforce have contributed to the development of the framework and committed to participating in the first reporting cycle.
Now, we are inviting AI developers based in all jurisdictions that adhere to the OECD AI Principles to join this global effort to promote responsible AI.

Why does this matter?
Ultimately, this reporting exercise will make AI more trustworthy for everyone. The Reporting Framework is crucial in implementing international principles and the Hiroshima AI Process.
All submissions will be made publicly available in full at transparency.oecd.ai. This will:
- Foster a culture of openness
- Provide real-world examples of responsible AI governance practices
- Support a global learning process that benefits organisations of all sizes, including SMEs
Join the first global reporting cycle
These organisations are paving the way for transparent and trustworthy AI development. Now, it’s your opportunity to be among the first organisations to participate in this collective effort for transparency.
The first reporting cycle submissions are due by 15 April 2025 and will be published in June 2025.
