Daniel Zhang is the research manager of AI Index and a social science researcher at Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). Previously, he worked on global AI talent flows/security risks at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology and public education policy at the Riley Institute Center for Education and Leadership. Daniel holds an M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University where he concentrated on technology policy and international security and a B.A. in Politics & International Affairs from Furman University.
