Initiative overview

The Slovak government is exploring the use of artificial intelligence to strengthen data-driven policymaking. Public bodies hold large amounts of information, but turning this into timely insights is difficult. AI offers tools to analyse datasets more quickly, identify trends, and predict outcomes, supporting more evidence-based and effective governance.

The aim is to move policymaking from reactive to proactive. Applications include labour-market analysis, health forecasting, or infrastructure planning. By modelling likely impacts, AI can help policymakers anticipate challenges and make better use of public resources.

These efforts are guided by Slovakia’s national AI strategy and supported through partnerships with researchers and technology providers.
