Initiative overview

The Government of Rwanda has announced the establishment of a technology center of excellence (CoE) in the areas of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The new CoE, expected to start in 2021, will be founded and operated through a Joint Venture (JV) between Elbit Systems and Ngali Holdings' subsidiary “ Locus Dynamics Ltd.The JV will focus on research, development and delivery of advanced technological solutions mainly in areas such as AI, security and protection of critical infrastructure and assets. The CoE will include an Academy that will employ advanced training and simulation systems to develop local engineering and technical talent and foster technology transfer.
