Initiative overview

Led by the Ministry of Economy, Luxembourg's data-driven innovation strategy is built on three key pillars:
i) enhancing digital infrastructure capacity,
ii) promoting the experimentation and integration of advanced digital technologies into industry, and
iii) ensuring a robust regulatory, intellectual property, investment, and financing framework.

There has been a request to renew the national data strategy, recognizing that AI and data are deeply interconnected. On the Ministry for Digitalization’s side, significant progress is being made on a public data strategy, which is set to be published in 2025. The key question remains whether this will be a standalone strategy or part of a broader national data framework.
