Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 is a national strategy to use digital technologies to improve government services and daily life for all citizens. It aims to connect more people to fast internet, make online services widely available, and help the country become more modern and competitive. The initiative was created to reduce inequality, increase efficiency, and prepare Uzbekistan for the digital future.

Initiative overview

President Mirziyoyev has furthermore instructed the creation of a specialized research institute for development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, whose main endeavours are envisaged to be, inter alia, the organization of scientific research aimed at the widespread implementation of the Digital Uzbekistan “ 2030 Strategy, the formation of a scientific ecosystem for the development of digital technologies and the development of innovative products for the automation of management and production processes based on artificial intelligence technologies.The initiative has the following objectives:To accelerate development of the digital industry in the republic.To increase competitiveness of national economy.To ensure realisation of the tasks determined in the State program by strategy implementation of actions in five priority directions of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017 - 2021 in "Year of development of science, education and digital economy."
