Initiative overview
The Institute has been created by the Government Resolution under the Scientific and Innovation Center of Information and Communication Technologies at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and the Scientific and Practical Center for Intellectual Software Systems at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. A joint laboratory of the Institute of Intellectual Software Systems and the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek will be organized in the structure of the Institute of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications. The joint laboratory is a structural subdivision of the Institute and is located in the building of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek based on the right of free use.The initiative has the following objectives:To organise scientific research aimed at the widespread implementation of the Digital Uzbekistan - 2030 Strategy and the artificial intelligence technologies in the economy, the social sphere and the governance.To conduct fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence, forming a scientific ecosystem for the development of digital technologies.To develop innovative products for the automation of management and production processes based on artificial intelligence technologies, as well as their models, algorithms and software.To establish co-operation and implementing joint projects with leading foreign innovation and scientific institutions for the development of artificial intelligence technologies.
