General Short-Term Professional Development Programme "Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence for Public Servants" aims to deepen participants’ knowledge of the use of artificial intelligence in the professional activities of public servants. It also develops practical skills in applying AI tools in their work and counters the spread of harmful content generated by artificial intelligence.

Initiative overview

The target audience of the programme “Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence for Public Servants” includes civil servants and local self-government officials. The programme covers the following training topics: 

  • the prospects of using artificial intelligence in the public administration system; 
  • the experience of applying artificial intelligence in the professional activities of public servants in EU member states and the USA; 
  • practical skills and competencies in using artificial intelligence in the professional activities of public servants; 
  • and the threats associated with the use of artificial intelligence in the information space.

The expected learning outcomes are comprehensive knowledge of terminology in the field of artificial intelligence, the history of development and prospects of artificial intelligence in Ukraine, and the main methods and tools of artificial intelligence that may be useful for public servants. 

Objectives:

The programme is aimed at developing the ability to identify opportunities for applying artificial intelligence in the professional activities of public servants, as well as to anticipate the main technical and social aspects of threats related to the use of artificial intelligence. 

Impact:

The skills acquired by participants during the training will enable them to analyse information and use artificial intelligence tools in their work, as well as to develop and present their own projects involving artificial intelligence.
