As AI becomes embedded into every aspect of our lives, including education, there is a need for both teachers and students to know about AI, to know how to use AI, to know how AI uses their data and to ensure that the way that use AI is both ethical and safe.

The guidelines for ethical AI use in education are a key component of Croatia's BrAIn project, which aims to integrate AI across various sectors. Ensuring equitable access to AI-enhanced education By establishing clear ethical standards, the guidelines support Croatia's goal of modernizing its education system while maintaining trust and integrity in the learning process.Objectives:Ensure student privacy and data protection while leveraging AI for personalized learning.Promote fair and unbiased AI use, avoiding discrimination and maintaining equal educational opportunities for all students.Maintain human oversight in critical educational decisions, using AI as a tool to support rather than replace teacher judgment.
