International Conference “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Public Governance: Challenges, Opportunities, Prospects” brings together researchers and practitioners to identify effective approaches for addressing theoretical, methodological, and practical issues of AI use in governance. It also defines priority areas for training and advanced training of civil servants in the context of digital transformation and AI adoption.

Initiative overview

The educational initiative “Artificial Intelligence in Action: Practical Recommendations for the Public Sector and Educational Institutions” was organised by the Higher School and the National Agency of Civil Service Development (NADS), with the support of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the Centre for the Adaptation of Civil Service to EU Standards, the Council of Europe HELP Project, the Hans Seidel Foundation, the Academy of Financial Monitoring, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, and Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

The event addressed current issues and challenges related to the integration of AI into the public administration sector. Discussions focused on the need to uphold ethics and responsibility in the use of AI, as well as the benefits of optimising work processes. Special attention was given to security, privacy, and vulnerabilities associated with AI.

Participants highlighted the significant potential of AI for automating routine tasks, analysing large volumes of data, improving communication, optimising urban planning, and developing solutions to improve the environmental situation.
