Initiative overview

The establishment of the Digital competence center for the health sector, backed by government support, will propel the evolution of digital health and guarantee the strategic management of the digital health ecosystem.

Currently, there are 19 state information systems and seven registers overseen by subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Health. Following these adjustments, one institution will gradually assume responsibility for the maintenance and coordinated development of information and communication (ICT) systems. The center is envisioned to be established as a state-owned enterprise, with 100% of its capital shares owned by the state, and the Ministry of Health acting as the shareholder. This institutional model is poised to streamline the integration of innovations into the industry.
