—Nigeria's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (NAIS), published in September 2025, is led by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), with NITDA as a key implementing body. It sets a five-year vision (2025–2029) to make Nigeria a global leader in ethical and inclusive AI innovation. The strategy pursues three broad goals: economic growth and competitiveness, social development and inclusion, and technological advancement and leadership.
