Initiative overview

The establishment of the resource centre of data sharing was an action from the national strategy for public sector digitalisation. The strategy highlighted a need for better sharing of data across the public sector to ensure the "once only"-principle. The centre's responsibilities have since been expanded to also include data sharing from the public to the private sector, and in the private sector, as well as facilitating responsible AI.The initiative has the following objectives:To be a learning environment and a competence bank for the entire public sector.To be an advisor when legal challenges linked to data sharing arise.To develop guidance material on general challenges that apply to multiple stakeholders.To provide guidance to the public sector on the responsible and trustworthy use of AI.
