The UK Government has a dedicated "Office for AI" unit which collaborates with multiple departments, organisations and other stakeholders to drive responsible and innovative uptake of AI technologies for the benefit of everyone in the UK. It has now evolved into the AI Policy Directorate within the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

The Office for AI (a joint BEIS-DCMS unit) wasis responsible for overseeing the implementation of the UK's National AI Strategy.The initiative has the following objective(s):Society: Making sure that AI works for people - ethics, governance, and future of work.Demand and uptake: Supporting adoption across sectors, including via Missions'.Foundations: Ensuring the best environments for building and deploying AI - skills, data, investment, and leadership.
