The Spanish Language and AI (LEIA) project is an initiative promoted by the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) and the Association of Spanish Language Academies (ASALE) that has had the initial support of Telefnica.

Protected by the authority granted by the speakers themselves during its 300 years of history, the RAE, in collaboration with ASALE, leads the project and coordinates the work with the other members. It also manages language issues and contributes its resources.The initiative has the following objectives:To ensure that correct Spanish is taught to machines.To work on the development of tools and applications that help humans acquire a good use of Spanish.
