This document is a collaborative effort of experts from the public and private sectors, academia, organized civil society, international organizations, and the general public, coordinated by the National Alliance for Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with UNESCO, for the benefit of the entire Mexican population.

Initiative overview

The foregoing, through recommendations which reflect a solid and multifaceted commitment to guide the development and use - ethically and responsibly - of artificial intelligence in Mexico towards a sustainable and inclusive future. The recommendations are integrated under a framework with public policies, specific regulations and governance strategies that underscore a collaborative and multi-stakeholder approach that involves all sectors of society.From the above, it is concluded that there is a need to have a comprehensive vision of the country in digital matters. It points out that, in order to implement the recommendations made, it is imperative to have the continuous participation of all the actors in the country's digital ecosystem, to have close institutional coordination of the different government bodies and the adaptation of structures that allow these recommendations to materialize.
