ADIA: Innovación en el tratamiento de documentos judiciales
Initiative overview
The primary mission of ADIA is to modernise judicial workflows through advanced Artificial Intelligence, focusing on strategic pillars designed to enhance the efficiency of judicial staff and the rights of the citizenry:
- Data Privacy and Secure Dissemination: A central objective is the automated anonymisation of judicial and administrative documents. By removing personal or sensitive data—using initials or customised criteria—ADIA guarantees absolute confidentiality. This allows for the secure public dissemination of rulings and case files, ensuring full compliance with current data protection regulations.
- Operational Efficiency for Judicial Staff: The initiative aims to drastically reduce the time spent on document management. Through Intelligent Summarisation, the tool identifies key phrases and generates condensed versions of extensive files. This provides judges, prosecutors, and court officials with immediate access to essential information, allowing them to focus on high-value decision-making.
- Social Accessibility through Plain Language: ADIA seeks to democratise justice by breaking down the barrier of legal jargon. By transcribing complex texts into Plain Language, the service ensures that judicial resolutions are understandable to non-experts. This contributes to a transparent justice system accessible to all citizens, regardless of their legal background.
- Digital Integration of Oral Proceedings: The objective includes the automated processing of audio and video recordings. By extracting text from recorded trials and hearings, ADIA ensures that oral interventions are accurately reflected and integrated into the electronic judicial file.
Results, outcomes and impacts
In less than a year, ADIA has achieved massive adoption. Key metrics include:
- Transcription: 3,782,158 recordings processed, digitising oral proceedings.
- Classification: 1,604,936 requests, streamlining archive management.
- Analysis & Synthesis: 278,665 document analyses and 10,084 summaries.
- Privacy: 105,811 anonymisation requests (67,998 via ADIA).
- Accessibility: 888 Plain/Easy Language requests.
Future: Impact is tracked via real-time system telemetry. We expect a 40-60% time reduction in admin tasks and 100% automated transcription of hearings, fostering a transparent, "Human-Centric" justice system that enhances citizen trust through clarity.
