On February 16, 2020, the chairman of the Telem Forum (the Hebrew acronym translates as 'The Israeli National Forum for R&D infrastructure') appointed an inspection committee to examine the need for government intervention in order to accelerate the development of the field of artificial intelligence and data science. This paper describes the work of the committee and its recommendationsThe initiative has the following objectives:To design a cross-agency and cross-sector policy plan to promote AI in Israel.
