Initiative overview
It is the only country initiative that integrates companies, training institutions, and the government to develop new capacities in people, in tune with the demands of the digital economy, generating more opportunities to access quality jobs. We work collaboratively to be a bridge that connects the demand for talents, the supply of training and job placement.Inspired by the successful international model New York Tech Talent Pipeline, we add efforts and capacities to articulate and implement the necessary mechanisms to identify the demand for talent, manage job training processes, evaluate the results of training, and generate employment opportunities. The initiative has the following objectives:We are determined to accelerate Chile's transition to the digital economy and urgently address the demands of a new market, expanding opportunities for both individuals and companies to reach their full potential. In our country there are severe gaps in IT professionals. For this reason, we have proposed to have 16,000 people trained between 2019 and 2022 who, through short and effective trainings, can apply for new job opportunities and change their life trajectory as entrepreneurs or within organizations or companies of any field.
