Initiative overview

The Digital Technologies Programme 2025, coordinated by Xjenza Malta (XM), seeks to strengthen national expertise in AI and other advanced technologies by focusing on capacity-building. The initiative is directed at researchers, entrepreneurs, and organisations, helping them to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as AI, data use and analysis, digital trust, sustainability technologies, and quantum computing.

By combining research and innovation support, the programme hopes to create stronger links between scientific research and practical application, ensuring that Malta remains engaged with fast-evolving technological domains. In doing so, it also aims to prepare local stakeholders for both the opportunities and challenges that come with digital transformation.
