This Guideline provides the methodology to fulfill AI's desired quality in terms of safety and productivity enhancement, in order to promote the usage of AI in the field of plants where safety is considered vital.

Initiative overview

The initiative has the following objectives:This Guideline, which was originally published in November 2020, was compiled for helping plant operators to determine the reliability of specific AI for use in petroleum and chemical plants.It was revised to improve user-friendliness, including seven use case examples of leading plant operators that have practically applied the guidelines to their AI development projects. This revision is expected to further encourage plant operators to efficiently utilize the guidelines and to help them enhance the safety and efficiency of plants taking advantage of AI.
