Investment in Localized NLP Infrastructure

In 2021 the Israeli National Forum for R&D Infrastructure (TELEM in Hebrew) recommended on investing in NLP capabilities in Hebrew and Arabic. Those recommendations were later adopted by the government as part of resolution 212, allocating a total of 180M NIS over a period of 3 years for the creation of corpora, model and tools that are to be made widely accessible to the IL R&D eco-system.
