This report presents a fundamentally optimistic view that is shared across UNESCO: that ethical governance and responsible regulation of AI are fully consistent with innovation and economic growth, and are essential to ensure a technology ecosystem that benefits the public good. With the data from the RAM and the report, Mexico has a clear roadmap to achieve this.

This document is a collaborative effort of experts from the public and private sectors, academia, organized civil society, international organizations, and the general public, coordinated by the National Alliance for Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with UNESCO, for the benefit of the entire Mexican population.

the Bill of Rights of the Person in the Digital Environment is a bulwark for all those people who have not bothered to read the fine print every time we download an application, enter a social network or make an electronic purchase, as it will help us to become aware of the risks we face when making use of technologies, but also that we are not alone in defending our rights.

In Mexico, ANIA organizes working groups on AI to democratize knowledge and contribute to public policies and best practices. The need for an AI "sandbox" as a flexible mechanism to address technical, legal, and ethical implications was highlighted. In collaboration with the UK Embassy and AMCID, an analysis was initiated to promote technical exchange between the two countries and update the AI landscape in Mexico.

A strategy that seeks to recognise and strengthen the AI ecosystem in Mexico to maintain an open dialogue on AI and its impacts, with a comprehensive, plural, and multidisciplinary perspective, and with the participation of the different stakeholders and society in general; having as main objective: "AI for the benefit of humanity and as a transversal axis for the sustainable development of Mexico".

The Horizon Europe Programme is the fundamental instrument for carrying out the EU's R+I policies, its general objective is to achieve a scientific, technological, economic and social impact of investments in the European region, thus strengthening the scientific and technological bases of member countries and partners in the world.

Recommendations regarding the fulfilment of the data protection principles and duties when applying AI, also in different sectors (education, public security, health, etc).

The Guide aims to promote a culture of personal data protection within the data controllers' organizations by incorporating this topic in everyday language that is understandable regarding the various concepts and figures that are indispensable for impact assessments
