Initiative overview

In February 2017, the National Development and Reform Commission of the Peoples Republic of China approved a Chinese multinational technology company Baidu, Inc to take the lead in work of the National Engineering Laboratory for Deep Learning. The laboratory is co-established with universities and public research organisations, e.g. Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China Information and Communication Research Institute, China Electronics Technology Standardization InstituteThe initiative has the following objectives:To support research and commercial applications of AI.
