As one of the first EU Member States, the Dutch government has presented a vision on generative AI. In this vision, the government emphasizes the urgent need to take action in light of the opportunities and challenges presented by this disruptive yet promising technology. The vision aligns with a series of investments worth millions of euros already made by research institutions, private enterprises, and the government, all aimed at AI, including generative AI, in the Netherlands.
