More than 400 parties from the business community, government, education and research institutions and social organizations have joined the Dutch AI Coalition that launched in 2019. The Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC) is a public-private partnership that functions as the catalyst for AI in The Netherlands. All parties work in an ongoing multidisciplinary effort to develop transformative technologies in the Netherlands.
Initiative overview
The initiative has the following objectives:To support AI initiatives in areas of common interest.To realise and test 10 concrete applications within sectors/application areas that prove the uniqueness of the Dutch AI coalition approach.To host a European Knowledge and Innovation Center.To bring 400 extra researchers to work on AI research programmes in Dutch knowledge organisations.To create practical and supported ethical frameworks and guidelines for AI developments and applications.To guarantee that in all fields of application data sharing is used in practice, supported by the knowledge and methods of the NL AI Coalition. To bring the Netherlands society to defend an inclusive approach and human centric AI. To ensure that the Netherlands has a flourishing AI ecosystem and Dutch startups and scale ups are among the top 3 in Europe.
