Marktplatz der KI-Möglichkeiten
Initiative overview
Germany is developing an AI Marketplace for Opportunities as a pilot project coordinated under the AI Advisory Centre (BeKI). The initiative aims to connect federal ministries and agencies with AI solutions tailored to their operational needs, enhancing both transparency and collaboration in the public sector. By cataloguing available AI applications and sharing departmental experiences, the marketplace seeks to streamline the identification and adoption of AI technologies across government institutions.
The primary objective of the marketplace is to make it easier for public administrations to access suitable AI solutions while encouraging knowledge exchange and best practices. Ministries and agencies will be able to discover, evaluate, and implement AI applications more efficiently, reducing duplication of effort and fostering innovative approaches to administrative challenges.
The project is being developed in collaboration with the BMI’s Data Lab, ITZBund, and other federal ministries, ensuring that technical, operational, and policy requirements are all considered. The pilot phase focuses on testing functionality, usability, and governance mechanisms, with the goal of launching the platform publicly by late 2024.
