Initiative overview

KIPiTZ is a German AI platform designed to support public administration in identifying, testing, and implementing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. The initiative focuses on creating a structured environment where federal institutions can experiment with AI technologies, evaluate their potential, and share knowledge and experiences across ministries and agencies.

The primary objective of KIPiTZ is to foster efficient and responsible AI adoption in government operations. By providing a platform for collaboration, the initiative enables public sector organisations to explore AI applications that improve service delivery, streamline administrative processes, and enhance decision-making while adhering to ethical, legal, and societal standards.

KIPiTZ is coordinated in close collaboration with multiple federal ministries, technical experts, and the AI Advisory Centre (BeKI). The platform provides access to tools, pilot projects, and best practices, ensuring that AI implementations are both practical and aligned with Germany’s value-based approach to AI.
