Initiative overview

embrAIsme is an Interreg Europe project co-financed by the Austrian Federal Chancellery that aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adopting artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative addresses the challenge that many SMEs face in understanding, accessing, and implementing AI technologies, which can limit their competitiveness and ability to innovate.

The primary objectives of embrAIsme are to raise awareness of AI and its benefits, promote the development of AI skills among SME employees, facilitate access to funding opportunities, and provide practical tools to reduce regulatory and compliance burdens. By addressing these barriers, the project seeks to make AI more accessible and actionable for smaller businesses that often lack internal expertise or resources.

The project works through a combination of training programs, workshops, informational campaigns, and the creation of practical support tools. It engages a wide range of stakeholders, including regional and national innovation agencies, industry partners, research institutions, and SMEs themselves. These collaborations ensure that the support provided is both practical and aligned with the real needs of businesses.
