A cohort-based French government programme selecting and supporting the most strategic French deeptech and AI scaleups, providing them with tailored strategic support, visibility, and preferential access to public procurement and international development.

Initiative overview

Launched by Mission French Tech in 2023 as the successor to the French Tech 120 programme, French Tech 2030 selects a cohort of approximately 80 companies annually identified as having the highest strategic potential for French technological sovereignty and economic growth. Selection focuses on deeptech, AI, cybersecurity, health tech, cleantech, and other priority sectors. Selected companies are designated 'French Tech 2030' members and receive: a dedicated referent within Mission French Tech and the SGPI; facilitated access to ministerial contacts and public procurement; strategic advice on international expansion and fundraising; introductions to major corporate buyers (linked to 'Je Choisis la French Tech'); support from Bpifrance for fundraising readiness; and enhanced visibility in international investor roadshows and in French pavilions at global tech events (CES, Viva Tech, etc.). The programme does not provide direct financial grants, rather its value lies in business acceleration, strategic networking, and 'labelling' benefits. French Tech 2030 companies often combine participation with CIR, JEI, Bpifrance loan and equity instruments, and other national AI initiatives. Cohort selection is annual. Target audience: French scaleups with revenues of EUR 1M+ and significant commercial traction in strategic technology sectors.
