A national AI Factory (EuroHPC selected) centred on Italy’s LEONARDO/LISA supercomputers and national AI infrastructure to provide free/discounted access and services to researchers, SMEs, startups and public administrations.

Initiative overview

IT4LIA is a consortium-based AI Factory offering access to high-performance compute, data services, training, toolchains and domain support. Funded by the Ministry of University and Research and national partners (co-funding from EuroHPC/European Commission), IT4LIA aims to provide a one-stop shop for experimentation, model development, secure compute and training, with no-cost access routes for eligible startups, SMEs and public bodies. It supports sector pilots (agri-food, manufacturing, earth sciences, health) and runs modular training and skills programmes.
