Malta provides targeted Master-level education in Artificial Intelligence through two main programmes:

  • Master in Artificial Intelligence for Industry 4.0 at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST)
    • A 90-credit EQF Level 7 programme focusing on AI applications in business contexts
    • Equips students with skills to solve business challenges and gain a competitive advantage through AI technologies
    • Designed for those aiming to integrate AI into industrial and commercial practices
  • Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Malta
    • Available as a taught and research programme, primarily research-based
    • Covers AI fundamentals and allows specialisation in thematic areas such as:
      • Astronomy
      • Big Data
      • Computer Vision
      • Fintech
      • Geosciences
      • Robotics
      • Statistics
    • Offers potential industry internships, applied projects, or dissertation-integrated experience
    • Designed for both working professionals and recent graduates
    • In the 2024–2025 academic year, 89 students were enrolled
