The article 4 of the Law N. 31814 establishes that the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, through the Secretariat of Government and Digital Transformation, as the national technical-regulatory authority responsible for directing, evaluating and supervising the use and promotion of the development of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The National Authority, within the framework of digital transformation, promotes and drives: a. The development and adoption of artificial intelligence for the development and well-being of the country.b. The training of professionals in artificial intelligence.c. The creation of digital infrastructure for the development of artificial intelligence.d. The creation of data infrastructure for access to high-quality public data.e. The adoption of ethical guidelines for a sustainable, transparent and replicable use of artificial intelligence.f. An ecosystem of artificial intelligence collaboration at the national and international level."The initiative has the following objectives:The National Authority is responsible for directing, evaluating and supervising the use and promotion of the development of artificial intelligence and emerging technologiesThe National Authority, within the framework of the transformation digital, develops and articulates actions to promote and boost:a) The development of artificial intelligence and its adoption as a tool that drivesb) The training of professionals with competence for the exploitation, development and uses of theartificial intelligence in the country.c) The creation and strengthening of infrastructure digital as an enabler for the development ofartificial intelligence.d) The development of a data infrastructure in order to make high-quality public data availablequality, reusable and accessible.e) The adoption of ethical guidelines for a sustainable, transparent and replicable use ofartificial intelligence.f) An intelligence collaboration ecosystem artificial at national and international level.
