The National Digital Security Strategy of Colombia 2024-2026 is a comprehensive and proactive response to the challenges and opportunities arising in a constantly evolving digital environment. It aims to strengthen Colombia's digital security, adapting to emerging threats and leveraging technological innovations, including AI, to create a safer and more resilient cyberspace.

Estrategia Nacional de Seguridad Digital

Initiative overview

This strategy is based on four approaches: (1) "Whole-of-Society," which promotes multisectoral collaboration; (2) Human-Centered, which prioritizes the protection of digital rights; (3) Cyber Risk Management, which strengthens national resilience; and (4) Innovation and Capacity Development, which drives research and training in cybersecurity. It also has four specific objectives: consolidating digital security governance, improving national cyber resilience, developing the digital security workforce, and adapting and updating the cyber regulatory framework. AI plays a fundamental role in this strategy, as it aims to create strategies for the implementation of this technology with a defined risk assessment, ethical guidelines for the use of AI in digital security, the development of talent in AI applied to digital security, and the creation of frameworks for privacy protection in the context of AI and Big Data, among other goals.
