The NDS 2023 “ 2026 is the instrument that consolidates and coordinates all the public policy initiatives of the national government related to connectivity and digital transformation for the coming years, providing Colombia's vision regarding access, use and appropriation of data and digital technologies. Additionally, this strategy includes a component (axis) associated with Artificial Intelligence with specific actions to be developed in terms of public policy.

Through Decree 2212 of 2023, the organization and operation of the National Competitiveness and Innovation System (SNCI) was adjusted. The Technology Committee, through an action plan, facilitates the implementation and application of public policies on productivity, competitiveness, and innovation. The committee addresses topics of a transversal and non-specific sector-specific nature that impact competitiveness and innovation to drive, guide, and generate initiatives for decision-making.
The Inter-institutional Artificial Intelligence Committee is a strategic body designed to coordinate, promote, guide, and articulate, in an inter-institutional manner, the public policy initiatives of the national government of Colombia in the field of AI.
