Osallistuminen LUMI-Q-projektiin
Initiative overview
The LUMI-Q project is a European initiative aimed at advancing quantum computing infrastructure. Finland’s participation contributes to the development of a quantum computer hosted in the Czech Republic and connected to the LUMI high-performance computing network, one of the largest supercomputers in Europe.
Key objectives of Finland’s participation include:
- Supporting research and innovation in quantum computing
- Integrating Finland into European quantum computing networks
- Enabling Finnish researchers and companies to access cutting-edge quantum computing resources
The project started procurement in 2024, marking the beginning of Finland’s active involvement in this cross-border collaboration. Over time, participation is expected to allow Finnish stakeholders to conduct experiments, develop applications, and build expertise in quantum computing, contributing to both academic research and industry innovation.
