Initiative overview
The national strategy promotes excellence and trust in AI with respect for human rights, in line with OECD principles, EU requirements, and standards of other international organizations in the field of AI. This comprehensive strategy - with a horizontal, cross-sectoral character - addresses the entire national AI ecosystem, through the complexity of measures proposed, for the optimal exploitation of existing potential. SN-IA defines the following general objectives, aligned with EU and international strategic documents and with national development needs and opportunities: 1. Supporting education in R&D and the training of AI-specific skills; 2. Developing a resilient infrastructure and usable and reusable datasets; 3. Strengthening the RD&I system in the field of AI; 4. Encouraging technology transfer from the R&I sector to the manufacturing sector; 5. Supporting measures to encourage the adoption of AI in society; 6. Establishing a governance system and an appropriate regulatory environment for AI. The strategy and its action plan ensure the necessary framework so that the actions of government institutions are aligned, coordinated, and intensified to produce results.
