Initiative overview

As the population ages, it's essential to support elderly people in receiving care at home rather than moving into nursing homes. Solutions at the crossroads of technology, healthcare, public services, and social sciences can address two major challenges in home care: (1) combating social isolation and (2) meeting assistance and safety needs. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has dramatically demonstrated the need for better care solutions for older citizens. The aim of this project is to develop a home care solution to assist elderly individuals who wish to remain in their homes and to coordinate the efforts of all stakeholders around them (social workers, caregivers, family, neighbors, etc.).
