The Twelfth Development Plan covers all areas of Turkiye development for the next four years from a holistic perspective and whole-of-government approach. One of the main priorities of the plan is digital technologies including AI.
The Medium Term Program, which initiates the budget process, is a main policy document that covers macro policies, principles, the Government's macroeconomic targets, revenue and expenditure forecasts for the next three years, budget balance and debt levels, and appropriation ceilings for public administrative bodies.
This support model aims to facilitate collaboration between companies seeking artificial intelligence solutions and relevant stakeholders. The model encourages companies to form a consortium comprising a technology provider, a university research laboratory/center or a public research center/institute with expertise in artificial intelligence, and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye Artificial Intelligence Institute.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) is a multi-stakeholder initiative which aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities. Built around a shared commitment to the OECD Recommendation on Artificial Intelligence, GPAI brings together engaged minds and expertise from science, industry, civil society, governments, international organisations and academia for international cooperation.
To effectively oversee the standardization efforts within the field of artificial intelligence and ensure that our country's perspectives and evaluations are duly incorporated, a Mirror Committee has been established. This committee brings together representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia, and NGOs.
We have initiated to work on developing a trust stamp that indicates that trustworthy AI was used in the AI-enabled products to enhance customer trust. In this regard, studies on determining criteria and metrics continue with the Turkish Standards Institute. Expert group meetings are held and methodology determination activities are carried out by examining international studies.
The Digital Youth Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem was created to bring together student clubs related to artificial intelligence (AI) at universities affiliated with Y–K. The aim is to support the development of a qualified workforce in these fields through practice-based training, competitions, and post-training career awards.
The cooperation platform serves as a dynamic nexus, uniting public institutions, organizations, industrial entities, and R&D infrastructures engaged in the research, development, application, and dissemination of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, and related technologies. Its overarching mission is to expedite the implementation of multidisciplinary projects, leveraging national resources and opportunities to drive the creation of economic, technological, and social value.
Users can identify and clean up data, increase data quality, make short-term and long-term forecasts, automate manual operations, use relationship dashboards to data scope, become data scientists, and minimise manpower. This system also helps policymakers to observe the statistics and changes easily.
