Initiative overview

The Important Project of Common European Interest in Microelectronics and Communication Technology (IPCEI-ME/CT) supports research, innovation, and industrial deployment in microelectronics. It addresses the challenge that Europe needs advanced microelectronics capabilities to remain competitive in technology and communication sectors. Four Slovak companies have been approved by the European Commission to participate, contributing expertise in design, production, and applied research. The project’s main objectives are to advance next-generation microelectronics, develop innovative technologies, and strengthen Europe’s industrial base. By integrating these companies into collaborative R&D and initial industrial deployment, it fosters innovation and technology transfer. This initiative enhances Slovakia’s role in European microelectronics and communication technology development.
