The Voluntary AI Code of Ethics (AICE) is a voluntary, non-binding guidance document that supports organisations in translating Malaysia's seven (7) AI Principles into practical implementation across the AI lifecycle. It supports organisations in applying AI ethics principles across the AI lifecycle and promotes trustworthy, human-centred AI practices.

The Boardroom Primer to AI Adoption and Governance is a voluntary, non-binding guidance document designed to help boards, directors and senior management strengthen oversight of AI adoption and governance. It provides practical guidance on understanding AI, assessing AI adoption, managing risks, strengthening organisational governance and evaluating board AI readiness.

Guideline on Artificial Intelligence for the Public Sector (Garis Panduan Artificial Intelligence Sektor Awam) provides guidance for the responsible adoption and use of AI across Malaysia’s public sector. Developed by the National Digital Department Malaysia (Jabatan Digital Negara, JDN), it supports government agencies in understanding AI opportunities, managing risks, and applying appropriate governance, ethical and security considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.

The National Guidelines on Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics (AIGE) provide a voluntary framework to promote the safe, ethical and responsible development and use of AI in Malaysia. Launched by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) in September 2024, AIGE establishes seven core AI Principles and provides guidance for AI users, policymakers, developers and technology providers.

Malaysia’s National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap (AI‑Rmap), led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, covers 2021–2025. It aims to build a sustainable national AI innovation ecosystem to improve productivity, competitiveness and quality of life, focusing on governance, research and development, digital infrastructure, talent and AI adoption, guided by Responsible AI principles.
