Initiative overview

In 2024, Denmark partnered with NVIDIA to create the Centre for AI Innovation, which will host Gefion—one of the world’s most powerful AI supercomputers. This initiative addresses the need for advanced computing resources to support large-scale AI research and development in Denmark.

The main goal is to provide researchers from universities, research institutes, and companies with access to cutting-edge AI hardware, software, training, and expertise. This will help them handle complex AI projects involving big data and advanced models more effectively.

The centre brings together public and private sectors to foster collaboration and innovation. NVIDIA supplies the supercomputing technology and support, while Danish institutions contribute research and talent.
