Initiative overview

Denmark has launched a new interdisciplinary centre to guide how AI is used in society. Many public authorities and companies face uncertainty about when and how to apply AI responsibly, and the centre will act as a single point of access for advice and knowledge. It will also carry out independent research and evaluate the impact of generative AI.

The main goals are to strengthen responsible innovation, provide practical guidance, and build public trust in AI. The centre brings together experts from different fields and works closely with the Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence, combining technical and policy expertise. Over time, it is expected to expand its monitoring role and partnerships, making it a lasting national resource for evidence-based AI governance.
