The NDS 2023 “ 2026 is the instrument that consolidates and coordinates all the public policy initiatives of the national government related to connectivity and digital transformation for the coming years, providing Colombia's vision regarding access, use and appropriation of data and digital technologies. Additionally, this strategy includes a component (axis) associated with Artificial Intelligence with specific actions to be developed in terms of public policy.

Initiative overview

To unleash the potential of digital transformation to overcome the challenges that Colombia faces at the economic, social and environmental levels, through the strengthening of its enabling elements and a determined drive for the use and appropriation of data and digital technologies by individuals and households, public entities, and the productive sector. This also aims to address the challenges, risks and potential damages brought about by the acceleration of digitalization brings. The initiative is based on the belief that the country must move towards human-centered digital development, regardless of their conditions, that takes advantage of the potential of digitalization to contribute to economic prosperity, social well-being and environmental sustainability, with the development of an inclusive, equitable, safe, productive, and sustainable digital environment as its foundation.
