Initiative overview

The developed project has been integrated into the system of a healthcare organisation and provided support to radiologists. In other words, the developed algorithm can now be used in inspections and diagnoses. In this regard, the project is a first in Turkey and is planned to serve as a decision support system in order to facilitate the works of the doctors rather than taking their place. In the second phase of the project, nationwide establishment of the system is planned. This project is a result of the joint efforts of the Digital Transformation Office of the Presidency, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data and Gazi University Faculties of Engineering and Medicine.The initiative has the following objectives:- To examine MRI scans of patients with brain tumours to create and train a classification system using AI algorithms (with the help of developed scientific techniques).- Expanding the developed AI-empowered system to make it available to hospitals throughout the country,- The AI-empowered system has reached the capacity to recognize different brain anomalies,- According to the results of the system, it is aimed to realize different early diagnosis systems.
