ARIS (Advanced Research Information System)
GRNET's Advanced Research Information System (ARIS) - GRNET has developed and maintains the ARIS infrastructure, which is the Greek High-Performance Computing System. This initiative supports research and development by providing high-performance computing resources.
MIRRI Information hub for artificial intelligence (AI).
The new website, created in collaboration with the National Artificial Intelligence Platform "AIslovakIA," aims to provide easy access to relevant legislation, documents, and initiatives in the field of AI. It is part of fulfilling the measures of the Action Plan for the Digital Transformation of Slovakia 2023-2026. The platform's main goal is to offer both experts and the general public access to information on AI legislation, events, study programmes related to AI.
AI for traffic management pilot project
The AI for Traffic Management Pilot Project in Malta integrates AI into traffic control systems and GIS. It aims to reduce congestion and emissions, improve public transport planning, and monitor traffic behaviours. The project provides data-driven insights to support intelligent journey management and traffic enforcement.
3VisionD
3VisionD is an AI-powered video analytics system that detects objects and determines their locations in real-world 3D coordinates. It supports smart city applications such as traffic and parking management, urban planning, and harbour monitoring. The system enables automated parking violation detection, occupancy tracking, and adaptive street lighting based on real-time data.
Smart LED Light
AI-powered smart lighting solutions are used in Latvian cities to monitor and detect traffic violations. The system records incidents such as red-light running, misuse of public transport lanes, and illegal stopping. The data supports traffic law enforcement and improves urban mobility management.
LMT Traffic Monitoring Tool
The LMT Traffic Monitoring Tool uses AI-powered video and machine vision to monitor traffic in real time. It detects traffic intensity and common violations, such as running red lights or illegal turns. The system improves road safety and supports traffic management.
Winter Road Maintenance Using AI in Kuldīga Municipality
The Winter Road Maintenance Using AI initiative in Kuldīga Municipality uses AI to monitor road conditions in real time. It predicts necessary maintenance actions and provides an interactive map for local authorities. The system improves collaboration between municipalities and road maintenance providers, increasing efficiency in winter road upkeep.
AI for Smart Cities Mobility
The AI-based Smart City Solutions initiative uses artificial intelligence to improve traffic management and public transport. It develops intelligent networks to reduce congestion in high-traffic areas. The programme also supports environmental sustainability goals as part of the broader digital transition.
Urban Mobility Data Integration
The Urban Mobility Data Integration initiative in Italy establishes a national registry of datasets and models for mobility applications. It supports the development of intelligent transport networks that can dynamically adapt to real-time demand, aiming to enhance urban mobility planning and decision-making.
Advanced digital skills training program for civil servants
The objective of this investment (under the RRP) is to increase the advanced digital skills of the civil servants, aiming to support the digitalisation of the public services by improving the availability of a qualified workforce for internal IT&C operations. The investment consists of training for advanced digital skills (database management, system management, business analysis, data analysis, programming) for 32,500 civil servants (out of which 2,500 seniors).
Measures for training civil servants in ICT and emerging technologies, including AI
The purpose of this initiative is to train civil servants in ICT and emerging technologies, including AI, as foreseen in the Order of the National Agency of Public Officers no. 234/2022.
AEXCIA Platform
Over the next two years, the AEXCIA platform, an AI-powered consumer experience management tool, will automate the handling of citizens’ complaints and information requests while analysing consumer behaviour, particularly on social networks. Designed to enhance efficiency, AEXCIA will support regulatory and supervisory activities by providing insights into consumer satisfaction and company conduct, ultimately improving consumer experience management through advanced AI capabilities.
SME: Digital and Denmark’s Export and Investment fund (EIFO) digitalisation support for small businesses
Support to SMEs through grants, mainly for the purchase of private advice to identify digitalisation potential (including an AI-dedicated strand) or advice on implementation. Other support measures include subsidies for investments; skills and management development; and guidance on digital development. In addition, since May 2023, the EIFO facilitates access to financing for smaller Danish companies for digitalisation.
PlanAPP Project
The project is an EU-funded initiative led by the public administration planning, policy, and foresight competence centre. This project focuses on applying AI to enhance regulatory impact assessments. By leveraging AI, PlanAPP aims to improve the quality and efficiency of regulatory analysis at both national and European levels. The project collaborates with Nova Information Management School.
Digital Research Centre Denmark (DIREC)
DIREC’s research spans ten areas in advanced digital technology. It aims to develop and support research in AI, big data, IoT, and IT Security.
Secure platform for developing transparent Danish language models
This platform for developing and training language models will be established for Danish companies and authorities to freely access and use and further develop Danish language models for their own contexts. The initiative will be run under the auspices of the Danish Foundations Models – a collaboration between Aarhus University, the University of Southern Denmark, the University of Copenhagen and the Alexandra Institute on research-based development of language models.
Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Society
The Danish government establish an interdisciplinary centre for research and advice on using AI in society. The centre will work closely with the Pioneer Centre for Artificial Intelligence. The centre will serve as a single point of access to knowledge and advice on how authorities and companies can best use AI in practice and will also conduct independent research and practice-oriented evaluation and monitoring of generative AI.
Developing AI solutions at all education levels
This reform intends to apply international recommendations in Lithuanian educational institutions and integrate AI solutions into lessons safely, including by providing consultations and training for teachers on AI related issues.
