Initiative overview

Lithuania is reforming public-sector data management by creating a unified national data model and catalogue covering all state IT systems. Led by the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation and the State Data Agency, the reform aims to improve data maturity, streamline exchange between institutions, and accelerate digital service delivery. Key steps include developing a central data catalogue, setting quality standards for open datasets, and building a shared “data lake” for public institutions.
