Initiative overview

The initiative consolidates data from hundreds of public IT systems into a shared State Data Management Information System, often referred to as the data lake. This centralised environment is designed to make state-held data more usable for decision-making, research, and digital innovation. By standardising how data is stored and accessed, it aims to improve interoperability across institutions and strengthen Lithuania’s overall data maturity.
