Initiative overview
The Czech Ministry of Agriculture runs a long-term Programme to Support Applied Research (2024–2032) that aligns with national RDI priorities and strategic policy goals. Within this framework, artificial intelligence is promoted under the Smart Farming area, which focuses on improving efficiency, sustainability, and resilience in agriculture.
By funding applied research projects, the programme helps integrate AI tools into areas such as precision farming, resource management, and livestock monitoring. It supports collaboration between research institutes, agribusinesses, and technology developers, aiming to deliver practical innovations that strengthen both the farming sector and national food security.
